About

Most species that are caught in the waters of Bonaire are edible and highly sought after by our local restaurants. The fish supply is very scarce, so no fish goes to waste. All fish that is being kept, is shared amongst locals, restaurants, and family. Our catch is divided evenly amongst: guests, Captain and boat. You may choose the type of fish you would like to keep, and the Captain will clean, fillet and bag it for you free of charge.

Description

What's included in the activity:

  • Captain
  • Frozen bait & tackle
  • Coolers with ice
  • Water & soft drinks
  • Fish cleaning
  • On 8-hour tours we also provide: sandwiches & beer

Trips:

  • 5-hour trip:

We drive direction North, through the National Park towards the Northern tip of the island called Malmok, where the most productive fishing begins.
We use quality gear (Shimano, Penn International), along with hand-made, unique local tools such as hand lines and
down-riggers traditional to this region.
Fishing begins as soon as we reach the old refinery, with four lines in the water.
We troll along the way, targeting various pelagic species: wahoo, mahi-mahi, sailfish, yellow-fin tunas and black-fin tunas.
Occasionally we may hook a nice barracuda. Captain is also comfortable in jigging techniques.
He will switch between different fishing methods in order to maximize the catch.
On our afternoon 5-hour trip we may explore the South side of the island instead, and combine high-speed trolling with more focus
on bottom fishing, due to the time of the day.

  • 6-hour trip:

This is an option for those who would like to extend their time on the water, and thus maximize the catch.
This trip allows more time for bottom fishing and 700ft-900ft deep drops in various areas, besides trolling and high-speed trolling.
With our deep drops we usually catch: red snapper, queen snapper, snowy groupers, almaco jacks, amberjacks to name a few.

  • 8-hour trip (with lunch and beer included):

More time on the water, means more chances to catch your trophy fish! If you are into it, we will explore the deep waters of the North,
and focus on deep drops targeting the famous swordfish, or queen snappers and other deep sea monsters.
Depending on your wishes, we can push further into the North-East coast, and continue trolling for a maximized catch.
Our goal is to fill-up that fish cooler and give you an adventure of a lifetime!
Our clean and well-maintained boat provides high quality fishing gear and tackle, coolers with ice, traditional local tools,
brand-new engines, space to cool off in the shade and a comfortable lounge area with cushions.
